The Catamaran Company represent Buyers regardless of the type of vessel they wish to acquire

While it is well known that The Catamaran company is the largest retailer of used catamarans in the US, we also represent many Buyers looking to purchase a brand new catamaran, regardless of the type of vessel they wish to acquire.
In the past 24 months Catamaran Company brokers have represented more than 20 Buyers in transactions where the client has ended up purchasing a new boat from a dealer or from a manufacturer like Sunreef, Aquila, Fountaine Pajot, Leopard, Granocean, Nautitech and Bali.
The main focus of a new boat dealer, understandably, is to sell you the brand that they represent. A BMW dealer is not likely to highlight to you the comfort of a competing Lexus whereas The Catamaran Company are much better placed to offer advice on the different brands and their strengths and weaknesses. We work with most brands and if there is a brand that we cannot get you, we can still point you in the right direction and give you advice on when to buy, what to look for and where you will get the best deal. There are many instances where a client has come to us with the intention of buying a particular brand but when we have gone over his needs and wishes we have been able to give them recommendations that have ended up with them acquiring a completely different vessel than they first intended.
Based on our knowledge of being the first specialist company in the catamaran industry starting in 1989, we can also advise clients on the realistic value of their vessel in 3 to 5 years time when they come to the resale market. We can generally give them a real timeframe of how quickly they should be able to resell then what they buy today. This is one of the most important considerations when buying a boat but it is very unlikely that any dealer will highlight this or take the time to explain it to you.
Having represented 4 individual buyers in building Sunreef 80’s in Gdansk, Poland in the past few years, we are now overseeing the construction of a client’s Sunreef 88 being built in the brand new Sunreef factory in Dubai. We were hired for this project because of our experience not only in overseeing the building of this size of vessel but also because of our knowledge of working with this particular manufacturer and having at our fingertips all of our contacts for the additional services needed during this type of project like interior designers, surveyors, local attorneys and documentation services. Last month we delivered a 2024 Aquila 54 to our client through our close contacts with MarineMax and next month we will be handing over the first of 2 Fountaine Pajot 59’s that we will deliver before the end of 2024.
